At Winterlust Taos 2022, we yoked the yin of apply with the yang of journey…
We embraced the exhilaration of chill in addition to the heat of the hearth with buddies. Between all these polarities, we had been invited to search out *presence* by our gifted guides: Elena Brower, Gina Caputo, Donovan McGrath of Amplified Yoga and Nicole Meline. Our hosts, Taos Ski Valley, rolled out a snowy white carpet, full with unique first tracks on the mountain and night ice skates made memorable (in 80s ski gear) and musical (due to our sensible Silent Disco DJs).
By the generosity of our presenting companion, Ricola, we had our very personal on-mountain dwelling on the Ricola chalet, the place we loved meals, festivities, and our apply, giving us alpine views for our drishti every morning, and a hygge-inspired family-style eating expertise on our peak night.
Listening to the shoosh of our professional ski teacher, Amie Engerbretson, or the hush of the bow on GarthStevenson’s stand-up double bass… they’re issues extra felt than heard.
